Apple's been able to pull a lot of great stuff every September. This year was no exception. I think the best news for me was the return of Steve Jobs and I think he pointed out a message that should have touched us all. Above all these great products and the growth of an industry that has taken over the #1 spot in music retailing, life cannot be taken for granted. Steve is still here because of a person who donated their organs to Steve.
We are still awaiting MMS and the possibility of the tethering on our iPhones. Something that was pointed out in last June's keynote. The new iPod nanos are a commodity with very little difference to it's specs. The price drops are a thing of beauty but it's not going to win over old consumers. Most likely, most of us have already camcorders and iPhones that carry video capabilities that we can upload through YouTube. I'll have to judge iTunes 9 later. Once I download it, I expect my purchases to come with nice eye candy. This was probably the least exciting iPod event compared to the past, but it's what I expected. It's a tough act when Apple has been so successful in the past with the new innovative technologies and them being so thin. (Laptops, Desktops, iPod touch, nanos) My thoughts with gaming. Games still belong with Nintendo, Playstation, and Microsoft. Apple is right behind!
